Hypericum tetrapetalum

Hypericum tetrapetalum (St. Peter's Wort; also known as 4 Petal St. John's Wort.) Longleaf Flatwoods Preserve, Alachua County, Florida. 2013. Hyperiaceae (St. John's Wort Family).

If you look on Wikipedia, there are about 400 species in the Hypericum family. They can all be called St. John's Wort, but it's nice to keep them separate, so in some wildflower books, they all have different names. We have over 30 in Florida. They are quite diverse. It looks like only one species (H. perforatum) is used medicinally.
